ABOUT BACK PAIN

Back pain, also known as lumbago, is not a disorder but rather a symptom of another problem occurring inside the body. 75-85 percent of Americans will experience some form of back pain in their lifetime and of those, 50 percent will have multiple episodes within a year. The good news is that 90 percent of patients who struggle with low back pain are able to get better without surgical intervention.

CAUSES OF BACK PAIN

The are hundreds of reasons one might experience back pain because the pain you experience is simply a symptom of something bigger that is going on. The most common causes of low back pain are more structural in nature. Causes like strained muscles for overexerting yourself or lifting heavy weight with incorrect form, sprained ligaments, pinched nerves, and sciatica. Other causes of low back pain that are less common are kidney infection, kidney stones, spondylolisthesis, and in rare cases cancer or non-malignant tumors in the spine.

I initially went in for upper back pain and after completing the treatment program, I feel like a whole new person. The care I have received was very thorough. The staff is awesome, they are all very friendly, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend!

TREATMENT OPTIONS In Lebanon County, PA

To properly diagnose your low back and figure out the reason for your pain a detailed examination must be performed. This examination will consist of one of our doctors sitting down with you and gathering more information about your pain followed by an X-ray series and then specific orthopedic tests to determine exactly what level of the spine your pain is coming from. After this initial examination our doctors will be able to write up a treatment plan specific to the findings during your examination and get you restarted on the path to recovery.

Our Chiropractic Techniques

Chiropractic Care

Our approach to Chiropractic begins with a comprehensive exam to look at the structure and the function of the spine. We have several ways to correct that through non-invasive chiropractic using things like manual adjustments, e-stimulation, intersegmental traction, spinal decompression, laser therapy, flexion distraction, thompson drops, activator methods, and more!

Electric Stimulation Therapy

Electric Stimulation Therapy targets the muscles in the treatment area. It sends a current into the muscle that ultimately helps it to relax and treat inflammation and irritation. Electric Stimulation Therapy is not a painful treatment and is extremely effective.

Massage Bed

Massage Beds are a great way to reduce inflammation and swelling.

Laser Therapy

Warm Infrared Laser Therapy is a great low-risk technique to treat chronic pain. It reduces inflammation and promotes healing and pain relief.

Radial Pulse Wave

Radial Pulse Wave Therapy uses ultrasound technology to send radial pulse waves into the tissue causing it to break up scar tissue and increase blood flow to allow the treatment area to heal itself, naturally.

Decompression

Decompression is a non-surgical and non-invasive therapy that can help reduce back, neck, leg and arm pain. It works by reducing the pressure on the discs and joints.
