Why Does elbow Pain Star

For most people, elbow pain starts from aging, injury, or repetitive stress on the elbow. Unless the pain starts after a sudden injury, elbow pain often begins as small pain that happens on rare occasions and then increases in frequency and intensity over time until it gets in the way of your life. Over the course of an average day your elbows go through a lot. They are one of the most stressed joints in the entire body. Over time this constant wear and tear on the joint causes the cartilage between the bones to break down. Acute Injuries are also a big cause of elbow pain. The connective tissue in and around the elbow joint can get damaged from moving the wrong way leading to problems with mobility and pain. If these injuries are not treated properly, they can easily turn into chronic elbow issues.

What Happens When the Pain Doesn’t Go Away?

When elbow pain is ignored it can often progress into a more advanced condition causing more pain and less mobility. Over time this constant wear and tear on the joint causes the cartilage between the bones to break down. The bone gets more stressed with less cartilage causing the degenerative process to start within the joint. This is what is happening in an arthritic joint and why it causes pain. It is a slow process and often the symptoms are vague at first, like occasional dull, achy pain and stiffness. As the joint degenerates further, more symptoms can show up like sharper pain, weakness around the joint, swelling, redness, tingling, and numbness. Eventually, these symptoms start to limit mobility and get in the way of doing the things you love. The best way to prevent this from happening is to get your elbow pain evaluated and treated before it gets worse.

I initially went in for upper back pain and after completing the treatment program, I feel like a whole new person. The care I have received was very thorough. The staff is awesome, they are all very friendly, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend!
